About

About Me

My name is Jihan Bhuiyan, and I am a rising sophomore at Lexington High School. I am fluent in Python, C++, and Java, and familiar with a variety of other languages including R, which was used to make this project. Outside of coding, I am a regular mountain hiker during the warmer months in New England and a somewhat active one in the winter.

About the Project

I chose to do a project on monkeypox due to my interest in epidemiology which was sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago, in addition to my desire to help disperse the stigma around who the virus may possibly be disproportionately affecting. I was also able to find sufficient data enabling me to do an acceptable level of data analysis.

Credits

This was my final project for the Kane’s Free Data Science Bootcamp. Consider participating; it will teach you a lot in a very short time.
